Frequently Asked Questions

All About Bespoke

  • It takes 6 to 9 weeks to make a bespoke suit on-site in our workshop before we have you in for your first fitting. From there, we can determine how many refinements and adjustments are needed before we can handoff the final product. Custom shirts take about 4-6 weeks to complete. For weddings and special events, we always recommend that you book as far out as possible.

  • Prices for bespoke garments vary based on a few factors—the complexity of the garment (a single jacket, two- or -three-piece suit, a tuxedo and so on), the fabric selected by the client, and the amount of fabric required. Exact pricing information is only shared during in-person bespoke consultations. It has always been our goal to make our services accessible to as many people as possible, and our prices reflect that.

  • Quality is our utmost priority. We exclusively source our fabrics from private vendors and the finest mills in England because we want your garment to last a lifetime. For that reason, we very rarely accept outside fabrics. There are always exceptions to be made, but only if the fabric meets very specific standards.

  • Every bespoke garment requires that we schedule an initial fitting. If adjustments and refinements are needed, we will schedule another fitting. We do a tailor’s press on all suits and bespoke garments before sending them home with you. We also offer ONE free alteration service within the first six months that you have the garment. Any re-alts after that will incur a fee.

All About Alterations

  • We offer alterations for tailored clothing, such as suits, blazers, vests, trousers and top coats. We specialize in highly technical alterations (shortening sleeves from the top or shoulder work) and full reconstructions. We also offer basic alteration services like hems.

  • We do NOT do repair work of any kind, such as mending rips or tears and replacing buttons or zippers.

  • We do NOT offer those specialty services. For fur, we recommend Famous Furs in Bayonne, NJ. For leather, we recommend Leather Spa in NYC.
